Putting “scorched earth policy” into an AI art prompt doesn’t sound like the best idea.
How does that even happen?
I just realized that yesterday was Satoru Iwata’s birthday. R.I.P. legend…
what happened to the video lol
I assume it was uploaded to Discord judging by the message so the link has changed, and it wasn’t cached locally.
(yeah it was)
Can confirm it’s the cable now, I’m a bit too stubborn to admit it straight away but my DSi isn’t charging through it either.
I love it when my Wii U’s output is distorted. /s
Any way to fix this? I use an HDMI adapter because my TV is so old.
(I used the screen size setting in the settings to be able to see more of the screen)
I also keep getting 103-1606 when trying to access anything internet-related.
I guess it could be the result of crappy internet quality in my gaming room.
(EDIT: this internet issue was fixed with a reboot of my Wii U)
Yeah, I remember seeing it on some news sites when Discord decided to start expiring CDN links. I can understand why, but it’s too bad that stuff like this will is broken forever now.
(Wow, that was a year ago…)
Doesn’t the Wii U support the AV multi port? I might be misremembering but if your TV is so old that it doesn’t support HDMI, then it might be better using that.
AV multi ports came with the Wii, but I’m not sure how high the resolution will go up to (max is 576i50 on the Wii).
Regarding screen size, have you fiddled around with picture settings on your TV? Some need to be on a full setting so it’ll display everything.
This decision was a massive contribution to link rot tbh, so many Discord CDN links are lost forever with no way to get the content now.
Classic discord, always doing unpopular decisions and never backpedaling on them regardless of how much backlash there is.
It’s not Discord’s fault in the first place. People shouldn’t be using it as a file storage platform imo.
There’s plenty of options to store files, from Google Drive to OneDrive to even hosting it locally. You can also store media on sites like Imgur and Streamable iirc.
Heck, even my fediverse server has 2GB of free storage.
If Discord is selling 500MB uploads as one of the perks of the subscription, I think it’s safe to assume that people would use it as a filehoster…
Yeah, I can understand Discord’s reasoning here. It just sucks that so much content disappeared because of it.
I think the default limit is 8MB right? 500MB is probably more intended for sharing videos (e.g. a 4 minute screen recording at 1440p is 1.8GB) rather than hosting files.
I still stand by my original point here.
Does anyone else have a weird feeling that Nintendo’s next console is still going to use friend codes?
