Normal streetpass not working

To get a normal pass, I should close the console and the other person should also close the console, then we get the pass, right? I don’t remember if this happened after Streetpass Relay came out, but I haven’t get any passes for long time already. I have asked this in Pretendo Discord server but haven’t gat any response.

I was used to get passes when I turned on both of my 3DS, and of course, I’ve got passes from other people around. Few months ago, I’ve found a guy who has a New 2DS XL. We tried to get a pass winhout success (yes, we had the wireless thing enabled.)

Only getting passes throught Streepass Relay with my friend list, but I also want to get normal passes when going somewhere around (thing that suddenly stopped working time ago).

What am I missing?

Perhaps you’re doing something wrong? I have StreetPass Relay on (I don’t use NetPass) and I still get passes through regular StreetPass.

It might not always trigger instantly unfortunately

I also don’t have Netpass. But even that, the way I used to get passes, that is simply opening Mii Plaza, going to home menu without exiting Mii plaza, and closing the console. With that, I usually got some passes, normally with my two 3DSs I have right now (Opening Mii plaza wasn’t even needed), I’ve got at least one pass every day. So I don’t get what I could be doing wrong…
