This is also real data! So close to fully reviving TVii as it originally was…

I am also preparing for an beta :eyes: already have a few testers that have the proxy setup to test it

Development must be going efficiently fast! :cloud_with_lightning: Great Job! :medal_sports:

Hmm Proxy tvii?
INSTERESTING CAN I HAVE IT?

What apis are you using for Nintendo TVii?

Thanks for putting so much work into this amazing project! I’ve never actually used TVii because it was so short-lived, so I’m excited for the beta!

TheMovieDB.org API for pulling program information/episodes/cast/suggestions
Zap2It API for TV guide for US/CAN
BlueSky API for crossposting comments/drawings on TVTag to, well, BlueSky

also using TVii´s built in Miiverse API to post to Miiverse

It sounds pretty easy, I bet if I had the right stuff I could help you with this. Have you considered using a different name to avoid copyright?

Perhaps a different logo color and name?

Also, will this be available on the icon tray (the one that contains Miiverse, Friends and such)?

i like TViis logo, i dont think i will have any copyright issues
I mean, Juxt DOES use app icons, which technically are “copyrighted” but its a fair use so nothing happens, im also using in a fair way the TVii logo, + , all of the assets were made by a defunct company

if you mean designing new assets, it isnt as easy, TVii UI´s is similar to the PSVita, skeuomorphic and some mild Frutiger Aero elements, that means it uses shadows, gradients, a lot of complicated stuff, if you think you can design assets like this, hit me up! There are some stuff id like to fix since im not good at anything PhotoShop related.

I see… one more thing – could something like this be done for, say, Nintendo Video?

not sure what youre talking about

Nintendo Video is an already complete app, what would be needed to revive is just the server that serves the videos and its encoding.

Nintendo TVii, on the other hand, doesnt have any HTML dumps so this entire revival is coded from scratch and its being actively worked on i speak, im not sure how Nintendo Video is related to this, since its an completely different app for an completely different console

A tad bit off-topic, but is the guy circled actually supposed to be @dwyazzo90?

Maybe they are different people, but they do share first and last name initials!

UPDATE: I may have some more evidence to back this up :astonished:

Considering the fact that TVii has almost no dumps, is there anything other than UI design I can help with? I don’t exactly have the greatest arsenal of art software.

why does it matter if theyve worked on miiverse clones in the past …? :sob: also you somehow managed to not even notice the biggest one bes worked on (aquamarine)

I know what Aquamarine is, but it shutdown.

UPDATE…

I recently learned that @dwyazzo90 is an ex-Aquamarine developer, for which I did not know beforehand, so I apologize for misunderstanding what you said.

This is just becoming even more amazing. Can’t wait for this to be in the EU and UK!
This kind of work always leaves me flabbergasted. Projects like these are something that fuel the life of the Wii U and they’re always so fun, whilst also uncovering lost media. Keep going. This is incredible!
