For some weird reason, whenever I would go to register a friend it would tell me the code is invalid even though it obviously works for other people.
IDK if this is a problem for anyone else, but(t) if anyone knows a way to fix this then please let me know. And just for reference, my 3DS is completely unmodded so it can’t be a problem with the online functionality.
This is the exact reason why you’re running into issues.
The friend code exchanges are for Pretendo Network friend codes only. We do not allow NN FCs to be shared and there’s not much point adding someone on NN.

No, there’s absolutely no point adding someone on Nintendo Network considering online services were discontinued so adding them is basically just going to give you that users status (e.g. what they’re playing, favourite game and if they have any status message), that’s it.
If there was a point in it, then maybe we’d allow a separate thread but there really isn’t at this rate. I’m sorry!
