Mods of pretendo. please take action

so. we had mass greifings and crashes on my server.
I’m not the only one either.
wisdomia had this problem.
and others did too I imagine.
this is a mass attack on multiple servers!
and if i had to guess it was organized too as it all happend in the same day.
i ask you pretendo. will you crack down on this
because it is apparent that they do not seem to know any punishment is posible please make a post on juxt
concerning this.
actoin must be taken.
#crashthecrashers

If you know, who were the griefers and crashers?

they were invisible and we have like 5 people trying to find this out.
i was afk at the time.
wisdomia had the same problem @Wisdomia if you will tell us who greifed yours please?

Unfortunately, there isn’t much we can do.

Minecraft Wii U is friends-only for a reason - you add people you trust.

Unfriend people who are malicious, and don’t add people you don’t trust.

unfortunately , thats not how my server is ran.
we are a public sevice that allows anyone to join.
and there is something yall can do.
make punishments for people who crash servers

you dont even have to act on said punishment but it will be a deterrent

If you don’t know who the hackers were, how should we? (Mods of pretendo. please take action - #3 by SMPU_live)

This is Pretendo’s official recommendation, however. We already made it friends only - that is doing our part.

Only add people you trust, unfriend people you don’t.

first off, we already working on it.
second off did you even read my reply???
WE ARE A PUBLIC SERVICE.
we allow everyone to join and isee a problem that makes everyone on my server have a crappy expereince.
its not MY fault theres no rules for crashing servers.
ik YOU cant make punishment. all i ask is for you to suggest it as its happening on a very wide spread.
this isnt about “smp u” this is about a major flaw in pretendo minecraft.

the whole reason ppl do ts is because theres no consequences

You expect us to take actions on people you haven’t identified or provided evidence of such.

Also, there is no "major flow* as Minecraft is friends-only for security reasons already. If you choose to ignore that security, that is beyond Pretendo.

“we allow everyone to join and isee a problem that makes everyone on my server have a crappy expereince.”

Private friend rooms - in any game - are very hard to moderate as it is because they are not public and by adding friends you are inherently accepting the risks associated with it.

At this point this seems kinda unreasonable

If you remember you could take note of everyone on the smp at the time and try to see if they grief and such otherwise pretendo can’t do nothing about it especialy without names or pids

Only one dumbass who wasn’t on my friends list crashed me. Otherwise it’s mainly smp u that got targeted (probably because of the lack of rules and too much freedom given to players). I do NOT have this problem because I don’t put up with bullshit and it shows.

Moderator note: edited to remove vulgarity

Edit: sorry for language but I am a little mad that people think I was hit with this when I wasn’t even on yesterday.

Also anarchy servers exist so if you’re gonna be on a lot and don’t want corrupt mods then just make an anarchy server. It’d be cool as hell and I’d actually play that often

Just for sake of clarity, I will re-iterate Pretendo’s official stance:

Minecraft: Wii U is set to friends-only by default for security. What happens in private friend lobbies in any game is largely unmoderated.

Only add people you trust. Either unfriend or don’t add people you don’t trust.

When you add someone as a friend and play with them, you accept the inherent risks associated with those actions.

Bull shit I have plenty of rules about greifing and crashing

“Are you stupid?”-tyler the creator
you know that you can just add that rule to avoid this. :man_standing:

Yk what I give up if y’all are to stupid to see the bigger picture then it’s pointless because everyone thinks there always right

We have the policy to do very little moderation in private game lobbies. Users can play whatever they want in their own private games, especially since it doesn’t affect the rest of the user base.

You choose to make a private game lobby into a public one. That makes it your responsibility to maintain peace and order in your own game lobby.

To prevent further problems on Minecraft, I recommend only adding people as friends that you trust.

Unfortunately we can’t do anything else to help you.

I will be closing the thread to prevent it becoming too heated.
