If juxt is for ages 13+, people should be able to ask others their age and report them to the proper authorities as not only do tween/under 12 years old people have little to no maturity and might ruin games, rules must be enforced! Lately I’ve been seeing so many people join my Minecraft server that I could simple TELL that they were not of age. Something must be done.
We should probably have report handlers. (Although mandatory age verification isn’t ready yet.)
Meh idk how would you verify it should you be required to send your id or something also while they might i have seen some users that are prob under 13 but like they don’t ruin the games edit:i just realized i sound like a 11 year old trying to defend that it is ok for under 13 users to be on juxt/pretendo network lol
I personally don’t think anyone should be able to ask for other people’s ages. It’s sensitive information really.
Asking for someone’s age in a game or in a Juxtaposition reply could make someone feel a bit uncomfortable. I’m guilty of doing this before in the past, we shouldn’t be pressuring people to tell us their age.
I strongly disagree with this.
If you’re familiar with my activity outside of here, you might see I’m a critic of ID verification requirements on some platforms (particularly Roblox). It’s very sensitive information to deal with (and I don’t believe it should be asked on any platform unless necessary) and I can guarantee we have no interest in doing something like this ever.
We want our services to be accessible to people, we don’t want to put artificial roadblocks like this up. It’s also key to add that not everyone has valid forms of ID (personally, I just have an expired passport).
I understand i said meh tho i was saying how would you do it in a way that would not make someone uneasy or uncomfortable and still making pretendo easy to get and use i was a little against it in the post btw but i see
Idk what will happen but you can’t just say pretendo is for 13+ and not enforce it.
something that could be done is perhaps checking the PNIDs set birthday date? along with possibly implementing the already existing Parental Controls API on the Miiverse applet,
wiiuSystemSetting.getParentalControlForMiiverse()
just in case, really.
Even then, i still think there is nothing there can really be done to stop this without the users personal information, i think its just a thing of basically, if you see an user claiming theyre underage, or just think they are behaving a little weird or in a very childish way, you can always report directly from Juxt or to a moderator, and maybe analize how that user behaved before in other post and comfront him?
It will be hard for Pretendo to enforce something like this as of right now. They’re a rather new thing and we need to focus on other things right now. (although child safety is a massive priority.)
I mean good ideas but if i act a certian way in a video game i might get banned or temp banned? Bruh sorry i threw you into a wall too many times now im childish and should get reported this is a joke btw i do not mean to insult or offend anyone
Ice Station Z did an parent/guardian verification thing if you had your console enabled with COPPA.
