Hey all,
A bit of a smaller release today, but still a couple of good improvements!

Improved Wara Wara Plaza load speed - By binaryoverload in #468

With the help of @Billy549, we have improved the load times of Wara Wara Plaza (That’s your WiiU Home Menu).
It has gone from loading in 5 seconds, to loading in 0.2 seconds.

Fixed 115-5024 when submitting a drawing - By imora7024 in #467

Are you one of the 160 users who was suffering from a permanent 115-5024 error when submitting drawings in-game?
This has now been fixed!

First phase of DM sunsetting

As announced in the previous release, we will be sunsetting the Direct Messages feature of Juxtaposition. Please read this announcement for more details.

Today marks the start of the first phase, DMs are now read-only.
In 2 weeks (2026-04-18T11:00:00Z) the DMs will removed from our database and it will no longer be visible in the app.

Smaller (technical) updates:

  • Fixed the post deletion button saying “Report post” on the web version - #471 by Joshua8600
  • Juxtaposition and miiverse-api are now running on express 5 - #446 by mrjvs
  • Fixed posts still being viewable for banned/deleted users - #463 by suprstarrd
  • Added ability for admins to set separate icons for subcommunities - #410 by suprstarrd
  • Added extra checks to app_data in miiverse-api - #464 by jonbarrow

How do I download the new Miiverse (3DS) update?

Juxtaposition/miiverse updates are automatic, you don’t have to click any buttons or download anything.

If you go to miiverse now on your console, you will have the new update.

Same goes for any Pretendo update, if you need to do anything to update, we will explicitly mention it in the announcement. :slight_smile:

thanks! It’s just becuse when i was on miiverse tryed to go to different communitys it said something like “this link doesn’t work. make sure to double check” or something like that

but it works now!

Quick question, but how was the development team able to make such a big loading jump from five seconds to almost zero?

I didin’t think this happening to a lot of users, i thought it was a extremely rare case for me and some others,
but 160??? that’s insane!

RIP DMs. Now there’s no way to communicate with people apart from posting on juxt because my posts will get deleted if I plug my signal or discord username. Fucking shitty man
