i am probably gonna get a new 3ds xl, i checked 3ds.hacks.guide because first thing i am gonna homebrew it asap, but im pretty sure this is for an og 3ds, is the guide for both or should i follow a video guide (i mean its a one way ticket to either, i just dont know if its gonna work)

NEVER USE A VIDEO GUIDE. - It’s part of Rule 14 for a reason to never recommend them as nobody should follow them.

Modding a 3DS is much more difficult than modding a Wii U. I don’t know why people say 3DS is so easy. It can be complicated, even for experienced people like me.

What you want to do is select the 3ds version on the “Gettiing Started” page and then setting your FULL 3DS version. That way you can ensure the instructions are correct.
