I’d say that topic is more about “welcome to the forums,” so I wouldn’t merge this. By the way, if you want to message the moderators directly, you can flag a post, choose the “Something Else” option, and type your message there.

Yeah, I didn’t personally agree with merging with that topic either (which is automatically generated; I think that thread more suits the theme of introducing yourself anyways).

It would be nice if users can message @ForumMod directly in the future, particularly if they have any issues with any users as well.
