Hey I did the same thing but it just said that an error occurred? I will try again but I feel like this problem may persist.
Edit: Just a hunch but can an ID only be linked to one console at a time?
If your NNID and PNID share a name it won’t work. Maybe making another account will fix the issue?
The do not but making a new PNID worked!!
I think that you can only have one per device (this one is linked to my wii u).

I just moved this to a new topic because it’s a different question than the original post.
I can tell you that it’s definitely possible to have a PNID linked to a Wii U and a 3DS at the same time, so I’m not sure why this fixed the error. If it works, it works, though
