Error Code: 001-0105 when attempting to access 3DS Friend List

3DS Model: Nintendo 3DS XL
3DS Firmware Version: 11.17.0-50U
Luma3DS Version: 13.3

Hello,

When I enter Friend List on my 3DS, it says “You are currently offline.” Then, after waiting for approximately 36 seconds, the bottom screen displays the following message:

"Error Code: 001-0105

An error has occurred.
Please try again later.

If the problem persists, please
make a note of the error code and
visit support.nintendo.com."

This issue has been ongoing for roughly one week. Although this question has been asked previously on the forum, the accepted answer was an explanation of the issue rather than an actionable solution. I searched for this error code on the Pretendo Network website (https://pretendo.network/docs/search) but it does not appear to be listed as an option.

If you need any further information about this issue from my end, please let me know.

Thank you!

Error Code: 006-0105

Applies to: 3DS Family

Module: NEX - Game servers

If you have not yet connected to Pretendo, please follow the instructions here to get started.

If you are still unable to connect, please request to speak to a moderator in the Discord server.

I really don’t think this is helpful btw, I get that you’re trying to be helpful but that isn’t really helping to me, especially when the OP has already looked at that!

I think it’s a side effect of the recent maintenance, can’t really do a lot about it afaik currently

sorry :frowning:
i didnt know

Thank you - however I am getting 001-0105, not 006-0105.

Thank you - by any chance, do you happen to know anyone else who might know how to address this issue?

Unfortunately, there are many issues in general with a lot of Pretendo services after the maintenance. I would say just try again every so often, and stay apprised of the Announcements category.

Thank you - I have been trying again every day for the past week or so to no avail (including just a few minutes ago). I will continue to check the Announcements category regularly (according to the Announcements category, the maintenance has concluded - in fact, I intentionally waited until the maintenance period was over before inquiring about this issue as I thought it could be related). By any chance, do you happen to know anyone else who might know how to address this issue?

The maintenance has concluded, yes, but it has had some unintended issues as a result.

You are not the only one with this error code, but so far we don’t really know why it’s happening or how to fix it.

I saw you also posted about this is Discord. I tried looking for more about this error code there, and all I can see is that some people have it now.

We just don’t know yet.

Thank you - I appreciate the information. Yes, I posted about this issue on Discord (a short video demonstrating the issue is also provided there in case it helps). Based on your professional experience, how long should I wait before following up again here (assuming the issue is still unresolved in the meantime)?

No ETAs. It’s being looked into.

Thank you for letting me know. At the request of Jon and DaniElectra, I submitted a PCAP dump to Bandwidth in #botspam on the Pretendo Network Discord server on March 8, 2025. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard anything from them since submitting the PCAP dump. By any chance, would you be able to confirm whether or not the PCAP dump was successfully received on your/their end? If not, I can run it again.

I have forwarded on the message and hopefully a dev can confirm or not if it was received.

I can confirm the PCAP was successfully received. We have identified a bug but we aren’t sure if it’s related to the error you are experiencing. We are currently working on fixing it
