Error 022-2571 - Created NNID on 3DS and on Website, cannot link account

Hello!

I’ve created an NNID using my 3DS (though Nimbus was set to Nintendo, since Pretendo was giving me errors), and registered on the website as well. I noticed that Miiverse/Juxtaposition wasn’t working.

While my account as linked on Nintendo in Nimbus, on Pretendo, it’s not showing as liked. So I tried linking my account, but it’s showing Error Code: 022-2571 - The Nintendo Network ID you entered is already in use.

I’m not sure how to proceed with this. I also noticed that the details I entered on my 3DS does not reflect on my account on the Pretendo.Network forum/website.

Resolved. Wish I had seen this before I registered my account here. Had to create another account following instructions here (changing language worked)

[moderator note: slightly unsure why OP has said 022-2402 guide has helped them given they weren’t getting that error code and there’s no information on the page that’s relevant to this issue. the solution is to just make a new account.]
