Country Region/Area not displayed in Pass by Mii

Hello, in the pass by Mii game everything is and has been working. A friend of mine says that when I pass by him in the entrance, it only says I am from japan and he can’t get my region tagged in the map. I checked my Nintendo ID settings on my 3ds and it says Japan and Niigata. In the Pass by Mii profile it just says Japan and the area where Niigata is supposed to be displayed just has a dash. Can someone help me with this please? Oh I also tried changing my region to Saitama and then Tokyo and back to Niigata but it doesn’t change it.

I could be wrong, but I think the region data for other system firmwares are limited for Japan?

I don’t know. I can see which province people com from in Germany and France and what state people come from the USA and Canada. I can also see what regions people come from in japan, but mine is blank for some reason.

  1. try setting your region again in system settings
  2. also see if it is an option in Mii Maker maybe?

Thanks, I will try that. I got tagged by 2 people on the train today but my station was the next one so I could not take a picture. One was from Osaka and the other one from France and it showed up in the map. I think the error is in my end? Anyway If I figure something out I will let everyone know incase someone else has the same problem as Mii.
