Cant change my age

It wont let me change my age on the 3ds or on the website.

The only way to set it is by:

  1. During Account creation on 3DS or Wii U
  2. Changing it on a Modded Wii U

I was never given the option to change my age during the Pretendo creation on my 3DS. It automatically set it to 1/1/1990. If I deleted my PNID, could I get a new one with an accurate birth date and region (if that’s not correct already), that I could make the same username as the one I currently have? Alternatively, could I ask someone to modify my birth date on their modded Wii U and then log out?

  1. Once a PNID is made, it cannot be made again even if previously deleted.
  2. No, do not give your credentials to someone else for them to change it.

There definitely was the option to change region and birthdate when the account was created on 3DS.

It’s worth noting that this information is only ever used in Miiverse. If you haven’t used Miiverse on your 3DS, the region/birthdate is not used otherwise.

Games on 3DS that use birthday and region pull from the Mii and the country in System Settings.

So you don’t think it’s worth it to give my login to a Pretendo staff that has a modded Wii U if there was someone? Also, if it pulls from my original Mii then does that means it would pull the correct birthday? Is it worth getting a new PNiD if my birthday is incorrect?

  1. Pretendo staff would never do this (source: myself, I am a VC Mod on the Discord server)
  2. Games that use birthday on 3DS pull from the Mii (like Streetpass Mii Plaza)
  3. Do you use Miiverse on 3DS?
    a. Yes > You can make a new PNID with the correct info
    b. No> No need, as a PNID on 3DS is only for Miiverse currently

Oh ok. Well, I use Miiverse on my 3DS, but not enough for it to be the main reason to delete my PNID. As long as I’m not the only one who made the mistake of having an incorrect birthday and decided to keep their PNID, I’ll feel more at ease. I just hate making mistakes like this is all.

Many people make this mistake. And eventually, it will be possible to fix on the 3DS.

Oh ok, if it becomes possible to fix on the 3DS in the future, would I go to the PNID settings to change it, or I guess you guys won’t know until it’s figured out?

It will be in the “Nintendo Network ID Settings” in the System Settings. There would be a button about Account Information or something, like there is on Wii U.

Oh ok, good to know. I hope you guys will announce when the option to change your DOB gets implemented on the 3DS. Thanks again.
