Just set up my account and nothing has worked. And when I close anything, it takes a good 3 mins to close.

Miiverse is very limited on SSSL, you might be able to see posts in a few games but that’s about it.
What games are you trying to play online?

Miiverse on ssl is inexisting i used ssl before homebrewing my wii u and it was very limited i higly suggest you to homebrew your wii u so you can access miiverse and about the online play idk why wont it work for you as for me it did but as i said i higly suggest you to homebrew your wii u if you wanna solve thosse problems.

Yeah, Nintendo Land isn’t even listed as supported yet (I think it does work though since it’s just Miiverse posts afaik?)
If you play a game like Mario Kart 8, you should be able to access online fine
You wont brick It if you follow The steps exactly i was also scared when i did It on my wii u but also on The guide It tells u how to make a nand backup so if It bricks you can unbrick It just remember to keep that backup safe if you gonna homebrew it
