I keep getting error codes when I try to use chat or miiverse, I cannot see leaderboards in any game. Mario maker does not work, Pikmin does not work, NES remix does not work. I should also mention, everytime I log into my account on the Wii u, I will get the normal log in screen followed by a “please wait” screen that usually lasts about 20 seconds. I have also never seen the “logged into pretendo” message in the top right screen. I just deleted my old Nintendo ID (Mii) but it didn’t seem to help at all. I’m using the SSSL method at the moment and I can’t seem to be able to get into your network at all. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Wii U Chat isn’t public currently, please see games.pretendo.zip. Miiverse also doesn’t function on SSSL.
For the rest of your issues, as @ArtU26 mentioned, some servers are down. I don’t think Pikmin is supported though?
That screen only displays on a modded console.

Thank you. I’m starting to think that I “need” to mod my system. (I read somewhere that Pikmin 3 leader boards was on the kopad, I haven’t seen it yet. Not sure if it worked for sssl though))
