Most players are fine but there are a lot of cheaters / hackers. Eg players with no name, but mostly players who are obviously rigging the game. Eg some guy this morning called “Go”. No red shells or whatever sent my way, I had a top speed run around baby park and he manages to lap me twice. Donkly Kong jungle only moments after start he’s miles ahead nowhere to be seen. Somehow dodging blue shells right at the end of the race.
Then there’s the Japanese racers who always seem to manage to come first regardless of their position the rest of the race… And players with 99999 top score who I hardly ever see in the lobbies.
With mario kart world coming out this week, are there any plans to be more proactive with making this fairer for everyone?
First of all, if you do wish to report any cheaters/hackers, please use the provided direct message service, labeled “Report hacker” on your sidebar.
Overall, hacking is something that is bound to happen, while there are preventative measures, and multiple steps are taken to prevent this matter, it will still be there. Pretendo, themselves, do everything they can to prevent the matter, it is not as simple as making plans and throwing them in, I guess.
Overall, Pretendo is trying their very best to prevent hackers and cheating, though it can’t just disappear overnight. Eventually, I assume further enforcements will be implemented.
Hope this answers your question.

We ban cheaters when they are reported with evidence (videos) and enough identifiable information (PID/PNID). When you see hackers and have evidence and the PID/PNID, send a message to @hacker-reports
