About the 101-0103 error

Currently, when I send a friend request from two of the three PNIDs on my Wii U console, the error 101-0103 appears and I cannot become friends.
Looking at the questions about error 101-0103 that have been received on Forum so far, it seems that the PNID may be incorrect, and the problem is solved by having the other person send a friend request, but in my case, I can send a friend request from the remaining PNID, so the other person’s PNID is not incorrect.
The other person does not know about me, so they cannot send me a friend request.
I really want to send a friend request from the PNID that is giving me the error, so what should I do?

Did you use the same PNID as your NNID? That might be the issue.

Thank you for contacting us. The PNID and NNID are set separately.

Have you double-checked the PNID is correct? (This thread might also be helpful.)

The PNID was not wrong. I tried again just now, and of the three PNIDs I mentioned at the beginning, one was able to send a friend request, but the remaining two displayed error 101-0103 even though I entered the PNID of the other party correctly.

Is Inkay and Aroma up to date?

Yes. Both Aroma and Inkay are using the latest version as of July 2024.

I have found out one thing. The two PNIDs that I was unable to send were both IDs that were under 13 years old and could not send friend requests. I found out because when I tried to send a friend request to a user who I had played with once, I got an error 101-0747. (Note that the user I was trying to send a friend request to this time has never played with me before.) Perhaps this condition is affecting the error 101-0103.

That would be interesting if we can prove it since we can’t legally have any under 13 users on the service anyways.

This time, the system worked properly to help me with my unintentional and inappropriate friend request. Thank you very much.
